We love volunteers!
Newbridge Family Resource Centre has a large and experienced team of volunteers and relies greatly on the contribution of volunteers. For that reason we are committed to the ongoing development of the role of volunteers within the organisation. We realise that people volunteer for different reasons including: a personal interest in the Family Resource centre, a wish to contribute something back to the community, or an interest in developing new skills. Whatever your motivation may be, we are committed to ensuring that your volunteering experience will be a pleasant and positive one.
How you can get involved…
If you are interested in volunteering with us, contact us! We can discuss together what volunteering positions are currently available and go through the application process.
We endeavour to continuously support the local community in improving the space they live in. Currently we are working on a long term plan for the lake area & around the Centre - to improve the area visually and to increase the environmental biodiversity of the area. Anyone who would like to get involved - either on a one-off basis or longer, can contact us in the Centre and we can give you more details of the plans.
Recent Yarn Bomb program
If you have an area of expertise that you would like to share? We have had volunteers working in the Centre, facilitating courses such as Healthy Living, Computers for Beginners, Sewing, Singing group, etc. Contact us to discuss what you would like to offer.
Relevant areas: Childcare, Community Work / Development, Office Administration / Reception / IT. We welcome those looking for placements as part of their studies. We have a high demand for places however, so may have a Waiting List system in operation, depending on demand at the time.
